Trekking Experience in the desert of Morocco, Erg Chebbi in Merzouga Dunes

1st day

Arrival in Merzouga, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: Trekking in the famous Erg Chebbi dunes

Breakfast under the bright desert sun. The caravan forms and our trek begins. This first stage is a 4 to 5-hour walk through the famous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, and lunch at the bivouac site. Afternoon camel ride in the dunes and around our bivouac. (Possibility to extend this stage and to make the bivouac further).

Day 3: Trekking to the high dunes and plateaus

Another day between dunes and plateau. Walk in the middle of the dunes and on the desert plateau. Lunch and continuation to an Erg (giant sand dunes). Night in a bivouac again in the middle of the giant sand dunes. Stage of 5 hours of walking.

Day 4: Trekking to the Reg dunes

Breakfast and departure of the caravan to the dunes. Crossing a tamarisk forest and dunes until the oasis of Bouighde. Night in a bivouac at the exit of the dunes in the Reg (plateau). 4 to 5 hours of walking.

Day 5: Trekking near the village of Hassi El Biad (4 to 5 hours of walking)

Breakfast after the return of the sunrise. Our caravan crosses a stony plateau to reach a rocky mountain in the middle of some sand dunes. Night in a bivouac (near the village of Hassi El Biad).

Day 6: End of Trekking experience in Merzouga

After breakfast, our vehicle ensures the transfer toward Ouarzazate (or Marrakech). End of our service.
