Itinerary tour from Fes, Discover the Moroccan desert
Day 1: Arrival at Fez Airport:
This is the day of arrival for the tour from Fes experience, you will be fallen at the international airport of Fez Sais and our guide tour will drive you to Hotel or Riad.
Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
We will start our voyage towards the Sahara desert first by taking breakfast at the hotel and then picking you up and start driving via the Middle Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Morocco until we reach the clean city of Ifran which was built by the French in the 1930s. It attracts many visitors with its waterfalls, and green nature, and European visitors may come skiing because of its high altitude at 1665 meters or they may come to sniping. Continuing our Fes tours via the Cedar forest until we head up to Azrou situated in the center of the Middle Atlas, very famous for its Barbarian apes. You can also, visit the cedar tree (the largest) Strategic, geographic location Butterflies, and rare birds. Then, we drive towards Midelt which is situated on the foothills of the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains. From the vast plateau, we start passing those tough mountains, which are still established by a big Berber community then continue our drive along the monstrous Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge taking photos through which we reach the sea sand of Merzouga passing via Errachidia and then the two capitals of fossils via, RISSANI, Sijilmassa once upon a time before continuing the way to Merzouga that his huge sand dunes appearing from the horizon. After having a warm shower, you will be warmly welcomed by a cup of minty tea and the night will be spent in the hotel.
Day 3: Merzouga – Khamlia – Nomad Family – Erg Chebbi Dunes
You are now in Sahara guest, and the people of the Sahara in their lifestyle, wake up early. Therefore, you will wake up early, eat your light breakfast and then move to the nomadic village of KHAMLIA lived by black-skinned people originally from Mali and you will see the Gnawa people, to try their music and way of living. After we will move off-road to pay a visit to a nomad family discovering their culture. Then, we continue our way until we reach a shade of a typical “Acacia tree” to have lunch, which will last for one hour and a half. In the afternoon, we will head back to the Hotel to have a cup of mint tea and relax to get ready for the camel ride to the camp in the heart of the desert. After 1h and 30 minutes of camel riding while enjoying the beauty of the dunes we will reach the peak of the highest sand dune for an incredible moment when seeing the grow up of the sun between the sand waves. After the supper is served with a Berber touch, you may want to experience Berber GNAWA music and play drums with them while rounding the campfire that night; dinner will be served in the campsite under so many and so bright stars that you feel you could almost reach out and touch them.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Azrou – Fez
On the fourth day of our tour from Fes, our guide will aid you to ride on camels guided by specialists in order to reach the highest sand dunes to experience a memorable sunrise. A moment that is saved in our visitor’s memories when seeing a round of gold sun rising between waves of sand colorizing Merzouga with golden yellow before coming back to your hotel riding your camels for breakfast, you cannot fail to notice the shifting and changing of the shadows cast by the dunes, lengthening and shrinking as the day progresses. After taking a wash, you will be served a special Moroccan breakfast before driving to RISSANI, Sijilmassa once upon a time the hometown of the Alaouist dynasty, paying a visit to the big souk where locals gather for trading all kinds of crafts, food, and animals, then head up at ERFOUD the capital city of fossils that manage the DATES SEASON each year. Afterward, we will continue our drive going back to Fez crossing the Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorge, amused by the view of the High Atlas Mountains that are said to hold up the sky, winding your way through forested peaks, twisting mountain streams and gushing springs and spectacular, jagged walls of rock viewing Tafilalt Oasis and passing by Medilt to arrive in Azrou where we will stop for lunch and enjoy playing with monkeys on the Cedar Forests. We continue the way to reach our destination in Fes the cultural capital of Morocco.
Day 5: Fez – Visit of Fez
Here we are in one of the imperial cities that ruled Morocco in previous times. Following breakfast in the scientific capital and the spiritual city of Fes, the second largest city of Morocco that was a center of the Jewish community during the past historical times wandering the old city of Fez el Bali that is possible may be defined as the greatest of all Medinas and by its situation, also the pictured alleyways modifying by the move of donkeys piled high with goods that show the exists and the stills of traditional life. After that, another place that deserves a visit is the ROYAL PALACE or DAR AL MAKHZEN, when you see it, you will travel back across ages because it is characterized by giant doors made of brass and gold, and then the Jewish Headquarters, the first ever to be built in Morocco during the 16th century. Afterward, we will visit the University of AL –Karaouine that built by Fatima Al Fihria in 859, the oldest in the region and in the world according to UNESCO where we find mosques of great renown that was a place for prayer and a library and religious institutions. The mosque and the University were a center of learning for people from diverse nationalities, they were the point where many cultures were intermixed since then, and it has become one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Muslim world moving also towards the TANNERY as well, so FEZ is famous on producing leathers, we find that the TANNERIES of SHWARARA is one of the famous ones in FEZ. After lunch in a local restaurant, we will visit the tiles cooperative and enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole Medina of Fez. Accommodation at the Hotel/Riad.
Day 6: Fez – Airport
This is the last day, which means that your 6-day tour from Fes ends. When you eat your breakfast at the hotel or riad our local guide will drive you to the airport for your departure flight time.
