Morocco Desert Tours From Marrakech, Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Tichka Pass – Teroué – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
The 6 days’ desert tours start from Marrakech, the ‘Red City’, via the High Atlas Mountains, a natural barrier south of the imperial city of Marrakech, to Ouarzazate. One of the most beautiful mountain roads in Morocco, the Tizi Ntichka pass, at 2260m above sea level, is considered the highest road passage in Morocco. On arrival in Terje, visit the Kasbah of Glaoui, the former royal palace of Marrakech. After lunch, we travel along the old caravan road of Timbuktu to the famous Kassar Ait Ben Haddou, which was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1987. This is where major films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator were shot. After sightseeing in Zar, return to Ouarzazate and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorge
Departing from Ouarzazate, the gate of the Sahara, we will drive along the famous Thousand Kasbah Road to the great palm forests of Skoura, then along the Butoglal Road through Kelaa Mgouna (Rose Capital) and the beautiful Berber villages to Dades Gorge, where we will stay overnight at a hostel at the foot of the gorge. During this desert tour experience, you will move from one place to another but all of them are deserted landscapes.
Day 3: Dades – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, we drive to Todra Gorge. Between two 300 m high cliffs, it looks as if the ceiling of a huge cathedral has collapsed and a path leads into the sky. Orange and purple hues are reflected in the folds of the cliffs, like stained glass. On the road to Erfoud, you can see small piles of earth, part of an underground irrigation system that shows that this desert was once a thriving area. With 40 cools and 700,000 date palms, the dunes of Erfoud, Merzouga are not only beautiful for their beauty, but also for their mineral world, the heat you can feel and the sky You will be captivated by another world of soft and strong light illuminating people and objects. Symphony of the desert. Upon arrival at the Merzouga dunes, you will switch from a 4X4 vehicle to a sandy dromedary and enjoy a bivouac, dinner, and overnight in a tent in the middle of the dunes.

Day 5: Zagora – Tamnougalt – Agdz – Ouarzazate
On the way from Zagora to Ouarzazate, a deserted path, you will pass through Dar Tamnougalt, a green oasis 6 km from Agdz.
