3-day desert tour to Merzouga from Fes
Desert Tour from Fes, itinerary:
Day 1: Fez – Middle Atlas – Errachidia – Merzouga (460 km).
On the first day of our desert tour from Fes, we left Fes (Morocco’s spiritual city) at 7 am for the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will stop in the town of Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and then stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the Midland Monkey. After passing the Ziz Pass (2178m), we will reach Midelt, where we will stop for lunch. Enter the Ziz Wadi area with exceptional views of the dunes and valley. …… Visit the marble and fossils of Erfoud and finally arrive at the foot of the Merzouga dunes, where you will spend the night in a Berber tent under the stars and in the silence of the desert.
Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Valley – Dades Valley (300 km).
After breakfast and shower, drive to Bumalan Dades, stopping at Jorf (with its ancient irrigation system), passing through the small oases of Touroug and Tinejdad, and lunch in the famous Todra Gorge. After a short walk through this rocky formation, return on the road to the beautiful gorge and Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight at the Kasbah’s Hotel.

Day 3: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Marrakech (325 km) – Fez.
In the morning, after breakfast, we travel via Ouarzazate (our Hollywood) on the ‘Road of a Thousand Kasbahs’ to Marrakech, known as the Jewel of the South. We will visit the beautiful Rose Valley of Qarat M’gouna (City of Roses), the Kasbah of Taourirt (formerly Ouarzazate), the Cinema Center, and finally the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2260m) and arrive in Marrakech with spectacular panoramic views, and drive back to Fez. End of our desert tour from Fes.
